🏠 Towering over our lush gardens, you might spot a giant with bumpy green skin – that's our magnificent jackfruit tree! Native to Sri Lanka, these giants are revered for their delicious and versatile fruits. If they are ripe, it is just a fruit with mouth-watering aroma and unique taste - a cross between banana and mango. If they have not reached the stage of being ripe, it is a rich source of carbohydrates and proteins, forming a staple food for the village folk and the urban elite alike. Jackfruits can grow to an enormous size, weighing up to 50 kilos! But don't worry, the ones you'll see around the resort are smaller and safer. When ripe, their green skin gives way to a sweet, fragrant flesh with a unique texture. The jackfruit is a true gift from nature.
